LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT: DEER STRIKE ON HIGHWAY 51 LEADS TO MINOR INJURIES FOR VEHICLE OCCUPANTS

Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 54 traffic stops and 23 security checks. There were two calls involving cars hitting a deer, and one where a car hit a turkey.

On Sunday, deputies were sent to the area of the 232 mile marker of US Highway 51 regarding a reported deer strike that led to minor injuries to both the driver and passenger. The vehicle was headed north when the impact occurred, causing the airbags to deploy resulting in the injuries. Both parties were transported to the Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital via Lincoln County EMS.
